About the Event

Returning with new hosts, two amazing headliners, and a hella cool open-mic bill- all in aid of Mustard Tree homelessness charity. February is headlined by: Comedian Simon Lomas. Having started comedy in 2015, he won the £10,001 Petfringe Comedian Of The Year in 2018; having perviously been a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2018 and English Comedian of the Year 2017. His unique deadpan style will split your sides. and Poet Tahira Rehman Tahira is a Poet and an Outreach support worker in Leeds. Her poetry has been published in the US, Canada and locally. She has headlined at various spoken word events including folk music festivals. She is also a lead poet of the Holbeck Poetry Hub in Leeds and the author of Mirages to Reality published in April 2019. "A uniquely styled performance that was atmospheric and powerfully thought provoking!" - Blur The Lines | Leeds Playhouse We've expanded the open mic section to fit 8 performers in. Open mic slots can be applied for at punkindrublicpoetry@gmail.com Whilst Robert Steventon takes a much needed rest, Comedy writer extraordinaire and former host of Bad Manners Molly McGuinness, and potty mouthed poetic prophet Thick Richard will be taking over hosting duties. There will be a charity raffle in aid of Mustard Tree as ever.
